How it works

Undenatured type II collagen induces immune tolerance by modulating T-cell responses in the gut-associated lymphoid tissue, reducing autoimmune attack on joint cartilage. While the provision of collagen peptides for cartilage repair is less clear for undenatured collagen, the primary mechanism involves the absorption of undenatured collagen in a form that preserves antigenic epitopes necessary for immune modulation.
