Overview

APN Advanced Physique Nutrition BCAA FORMULA + GLUTAMINE combines branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) with glutamine, betaine, and electrolytes to support muscle recovery, hydration, and exercise performance. While the BCAA ratio is supported by research, the clinical significance of other ingredients may be limited due to relatively low doses.

The Good

Supports Muscle Recovery: BCAAs, particularly leucine at 4500mg, stimulate muscle protein synthesis, aiding in muscle recovery and growth.

Enhances Hydration: Provides electrolytes (sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium) which help maintain fluid balance during exercise.

May Improve Power Output: Betaine Anhydrous is included at an efficacious dose (1000mg), and may improve power output and overall exercise performance.

The Bad

Modest Dosing of L-Glutamine: The 2000mg dose might not be optimal for significant gut health or immune benefits.

Potential for Paresthesia: The inclusion of L-Alanine, although present in a small dose, may cause paresthesia, a tingling sensation, in some individuals, if sensitive.

Artificial Sweeteners: Contains sucralose and acesulfame potassium, which may be a concern for individuals sensitive to artificial sweeteners.

Is it for you?

Best For: Athletes, fitness enthusiasts, individuals looking to support muscle recovery and reduce soreness

Skip If: You have a pre-existing medical condition, or are pregnant/nursing without consulting a doctor.
