Overview

Carbon Prep by Biolayne combines several ingredients with the goal of enhancing exercise performance. The combination of citrulline malate and creatine monohydrate are at research-backed doses and should contribute to improved power output and muscular endurance. However, the effectiveness of the other ingredients are less clear.

The Good

Contains clinically-studied doses of citrulline malate (6g) and creatine monohydrate (3g) for improved athletic performance.

Includes Betaine (2.5g) which has shown to improve strength and power output and muscle endurance

May improve blood flow, nutrient delivery, and muscle pumps due to citrulline malate.

The Bad

Potential for harmless skin flushing (paresthesia) from Beta-Alanine

Presence of artificial sweeteners (Sucralose) and colors (FD&C Red #40)

Potential gastrointestinal discomfort from multiple ingredients

Is it for you?
