Overview

Critical Aminos XT provides a blend of amino acids and supporting ingredients geared towards muscle recovery and exercise performance. While it contains key BCAAs at a somewhat effective ratio, the total BCAA dose per serving is below optimal for significant muscle protein synthesis stimulation from an exogenous source, especially when compared to a full protein meal. Some other ingredients like L-Citrulline, L-Carnitine, Bromelain, and Grape Seed Extract are included at doses significantly lower than what is typically considered effective in research for their intended benefits.

The Good

Provides BCAAs in the common 2:1:1 ratio, which is effective for muscle protein synthesis signaling.

Includes L-Glutamine, beneficial for immune and gut health, particularly important for athletes.

Contains antioxidant ingredients like Vitamin C and Grape Seed Extract.

The Bad

Key performance-enhancing ingredients (L-Citrulline, L-Carnitine, Bromelain, Grape Seed Extract) are significantly underdosed, rendering them largely ineffective.

Total BCAA content per scoop (2.5g) is below the generally recommended dosages (e.g., 5-10g) for optimal muscle protein synthesis or recovery when taken as a standalone supplement.

Relies on artificial flavors and sweeteners, which some users may prefer to avoid.
