Overview

This product delivers a moderate dose of calcium from oyster shell and a lower but still beneficial dose of Vitamin D3. While calcium from oyster shell is a common source, the Vitamin D3 dose is at the lower end of what is often recommended for optimal bone health and calcium absorption. To reach optimal daily calcium intake, two caplets per day are recommended, providing 1000 mg of calcium and 400 IU of Vitamin D3.

The Good

Provides essential calcium for bone health.

Includes Vitamin D3, which significantly enhances calcium absorption.

Oyster shell is a natural source of calcium.

The Bad

The Vitamin D3 dosage (200 IU per caplet) is relatively low for optimal calcium absorption and general health benefits, especially if only one caplet is taken.

Oyster shell calcium may contain very low levels of heavy metals if not rigorously purified.

Contains artificial colors (FD&C Yellow #5, FD&C Blue #1) and synthetic preservatives (BHT, BHA) which may be undesirable to some consumers.

Is it for you?

Best For: Individuals needing calcium supplementation, bone health support, those with Vitamin D deficiency

Skip If: You have hypercalcemia, kidney stones, or allergies to shellfish.
