Overview

True Balance offers a broad spectrum of essential vitamins at generally adequate to high doses, with some ingredients like Quatrefolic folate and methylcobalamin being in highly bioavailable forms. While many ingredients are well-researched, the overall formulation contains very high levels of certain B vitamins and Vitamin E, which may exceed optimal levels for general health and could pose potential risks or simply be excreted. The low doses of Calcium and Choline are unlikely to provide significant standalone benefits.

The Good

Comprehensive B vitamin complex to support energy metabolism.

Includes active and highly bioavailable forms of Folate (Quatrefolic) and Vitamin B12 (Methylcobalamin), beneficial for individuals with MTHFR gene variations or B12 absorption issues.

Contains Calcium Ascorbate, a buffered form of Vitamin C, which may be gentler on the stomach than ascorbic acid.

The Bad

Excessively high doses of multiple B vitamins (Thiamin, Riboflavin, Niacin, B6, Biotin, Pantothenic Acid) are likely beyond physiological needs and may lead to excretion or potential adverse effects over time.

Very high Vitamin E dose (134mg) exceeds recommended upper limits for routine supplementation and may carry long-term risks.

High Biotin dosage (1600 mcg) poses a significant risk of interfering with and causing inaccurate results in various laboratory tests.

Is it for you?

Best For: Extremely high doses of several B vitamins raise concerns for long-term safety and necessity., Vitamin B6 at 971% DV (16.5 mg) is approaching levels associated with neuropathy in sensitive individuals over time.

Skip If: You're on blood thinners or have food allergies
