Overview

Equi-Fem provides a wide array of vitamins and minerals, many at effective or supranutritional doses, which can address general nutritional gaps. The inclusion of Black Cohosh and Dong Quai, when adequately dosed, has some evidence for alleviating menopausal symptoms. However, the efficacy of glandular ingredients (Neonatal Adrenal Complex, Lamb Pituitary/Hypothalamus, Ovarian, Uterine Tissue) and low-dose Coenzyme Q10 and FRAC(R) is less clear or supported by robust clinical data in this context. The high daily doses of some B vitamins and Vitamin C, while often considered safe, are substantially above typical daily requirements and may not offer additional benefit beyond addressing a deficiency.

The Good

Comprehensive multivitamin with high doses of many essential nutrients.

Contains Black Cohosh and Dong Quai which may support menopausal symptom relief.

Includes digestive enzymes to potentially enhance nutrient absorption.

The Bad

High iron content poses a serious risk for children and may not be necessary for all women.

Very high doses of Vitamin A and B6 could lead to toxicity with prolonged use.

Efficacy and safety of glandular tissue extracts are not well-established for general use.

Is it for you?

Best For: Women seeking general female health support, women experiencing menopausal or peri-menopausal symptoms

Skip If: Pregnant or lactating, or if you have children under 6 due to iron content.
